Great to handle even for us as “ambidextrous left-handers”. It splits everything “short and small” and even stands firmly on the ground without being attached (which is of course possible) and does not wobble.
Also splits thicker logs up to kindling size without any problems. An enrichment for our household. Extra bonus: Produced by a young family business from Germany.

The part is very stable. I have used it to split very old and extremely hard wood without any problems. The blade has not yet shown any signs of wear. It's not cheap, but sometimes it's worth spending a little more. You just need a decent sledgehammer.

Just right, even for larger pieces
I already had a smaller splitter for kindling wood from another manufacturer.
Now I needed one that could also split larger pieces of wood. And the Forstix does this without any problems. A long and heavy hammer is good for larger pieces of wood. Makes the whole thing even easier. It is also a good idea to screw the Forstig at least onto a tree slice.
I am convinced and making wood is child's play.
